About one-third of individuals over age 65 fall each year, and the risk of falling increases proportionally with age. By age 80, over half of seniors fall annually. As attention continues to focus on preventing falls (and consequent bone fractures, which may severely inhibit personal freedom), seniors may rightfully enlist the help of physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and even home remodelers.
